In the context of its component on raising awareness of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, the IOC-ENERGIES programme championed the making of several films as a consciousness-raising campaign among the Mauritian public. This initiative was financed by the European Union and is now driven by the Ministry of Energy and Public Services of Mauritius along with the Energy Efficiency Management Office. This campaign consists of a series of short videos, each on a particular energy-related theme and aimed at 3 types of audience: children, small and medium-sized businesses and the general public. For the latter, videos have been shared on social networks since March 2017. Below is the teaser for the awareness campaign. In some cases, humour can be useful in raising awareness of serious topics.
